COMMUNITY PROJECTS

We believe that by collaborating with other members and groups of society, we can build a stronger and more connected community. Through full day or half day community projects we can work together with community based groups and charities to spread knowledge of this textile art form and encourage artistic expression. For inquiries regarding a collaboration with us for a community project call us or email us.

4 Tapestry Panels for the Hospital del Nino quemado, Queretaro, Mexico

With the hands of the last students from the last year of the School of Design, at the Anahuac University, and guided by our project leader Ixchel Suarez, we created 4 tapestries designed by the students, reflecting a naif project full of colour for the children to contemplate.

Offering tapestry workshops with our partners from ArtHouse Oakville-Burlington

" ArtHouse is like a Village – and it’s not a small village. We estimate that close to 15,000 young people have little or no access to extra-curricular arts programs throughout the Halton Region. And while we simply can’t reach everyone, we are grateful to our Community Partners, Our Instructors, Volunteers and our Donors who are helping us to engage our most vulnerable young people providing them with better pathways to their futures."
